Important Information

Planning a Budget
We can safely estimate your needing an additional $900.00 to $1200.00 in equipment other than hand tools to begin shoeing for a living. Every tool you learn to use during training is available here or from various farrier supply catalogs.

Payments
We prefer personal checks for payments, cash, money orders or cashier’s checks. We will also accept all major credit cards. Payments are due on the first day of class unless otherwise arranged for part time students. Please call the office for one on one details.

Visitors are Always Welcome!
Visitors and potential students are always welcome during regular class days. You are invited to see our facility and spend the day with the students and Instructors. Please call our office at least a week in advance to make arrangements.

Housing is Included in the Tuition Fee
Housing is available at no extra charge with separate facilities for men and women students. We ask that you bring your own twin sized bed linens, blankets, pillows or sleeping bag, etc. and personal toiletries during your stay . Grocery stores, shops, and a coin laundry are located nearby (we have a washer and dryer on-site). No pets are allowed. No smoking is allowed in any of the inside areas.

For your safety we recommend good sturdy boots or steel toed shoes or boots and a tetanus shot. During winter months, bring warm clothing and extra boots. We have indoor and outdoor facilities for all weather shoeing and classroom activities.

Two Meals a Day are Included in the Tuition Fee
For your convenience we have a diner on the property serving a hot breakfast and lunch every class day. Whether you live locally or a thousand miles away, the tuition is the same. You are on your own for evening meals and Sunday and Mondays. We do provide a refrigerator, microwave and outside grill for everyone to share and a t.v. study room.

Financial Funding Programs
Veterans Administration funding is accepted at our school. We also offer a
Pay-As-You-Go option. Please go to our website or call for current information.
