Professional Farrier Services
available here!

Does your Farrier offer all the latest technology to analyze your horse properly?

Bring your horse to our facility for a five-star treatment that can't be beat!

Casey & Son Horseshoeing School offers YOU and your HORSE the BEST service available.
We specialize in standard trims and shoeing to the most advanced corrective procedures and lameness.

Guided and supervised by Certified Farrier Instructors, we work towards the quality of the job, not the speed. Some owners get the misconception of “students” in training. We actually give the horse & HOOVES more careful attention than the owners do themselves. Each step is overseen by a Professional Farrier Instructor in an educational atmosphere. We are NOT in a hurry. We use all of our educational aids & techniques with students to evaluate your horse. All horseshoeing schools offer services for the cost of materials, and you are very fortunate to have one of the only 10 family operated private horseshoeing schools within your area..

You must CALL and make an appointment to have your horse trimmed or shod. We shoe about 300 head of horses on a 6–8 week schedule. This many horses is GREAT news for our students. It means there is always live horses to work on daily. However, it also means strict scheduling is a must to keep us operating smoothly.

  • We ask that you deliver your horse(s) in the morning and pick them up in the evening.

We ask you the following questions for the 'safety' of our students.
We can refuse horses that are sick, unruly, kick, bite, untrained and are dangerous to be under.

We will ask you the following on the phone:

  • Breed

  • Age

  • Gentle

  • Unruly

  • Never Handled

  • Owned How Long

  • Is New/Don't Know/From an Auction/ Pastured/Ride A Lot

  • Past Farrier Services (If Any)-
    When?
    Is barefoot now?
    Has never been shod?
All or same shoes are still on?

  • Yes: I can pick up my horses’ hooves: fronts and hinds.

  • No: I cannot

  • Never tried, don't know how, etc.

  • Did the last farrier have a hard time shoeing it?

Being "Under A Horse" as a farrier is NOT natural for any Horse.
It must be taught, trained regularly like grooming, feeding and riding.

A gentle horse you can feed treats to or a child can sit on is NOT ALWAYS a good standing horse for a farrier. A Farriers work depends a lot on your horses' Ground Manners. You and the Farrier can train your horse to pick up his hooves SAFELY.

Please call out a veterinarian for annual vaccinations & coggins report. Do NOT bring us a sick horse (snotty nose, runny eyes, coughing). Skinny & undernourished is ok if not sick.
